For referrers
Referring a client to Roam takes a few minutes. Rob works alongside support coordinators, therapists, GPs, specialists and schools to get the right orthosis to the right person, wherever they are.
What happens after a referral
1. We contact the client
Rob gets in touch with the client or their family to talk through goals and arrange a visit.
2. Assessment
An assessment at home, school, work or our Acacia Ridge clinic. You receive a summary with recommendations.
3. Quote and report
For funded clients, a quote and supporting report for the funding body. Typical turnaround is around 4 weeks.
4. Fitting and review
Fitting, adjustments and follow-up, with updates to the care team as agreed.
Who we see
- Children with cerebral palsy and other paediatric conditions
- Adults with cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, or acquired or traumatic brain injury
- Anyone who needs a custom ankle-foot orthosis or other lower-limb orthosis
What to include
- Client name, contact details and suburb
- Reason for referral and relevant diagnosis
- Funding type (NDIS, private, other)
- Any therapy or specialist reports you can share
- Preferred visit location
